Copyright class action pits lawyers against Thomson Reuters

The Ontario Superior court has certified a $51 million class action in which the lawyers bringing the class action are alleging that Thomson Reuters infringed copyright in the lawyers’ work product by collecting pleadings, court motions, affidavits and memorandums from public court files and making them available through their online database Westlaw Litigator for a fee.  See Full Article
