David was called to the Bar in 2004. He assists clients with creating, maintaining and commercializing intellectual property, particularly in the areas of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. His experience includes preparing and prosecuting patent, industrial design, and trademark applications, as well as providing patentability/validity/infringement opinions, trademark clearance opinions, and intellectual property due diligence reviews. He also assists clients with transferring and licensing intellectual property.

David currently serves on the Biotechnology Practices Committee of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada.

His technical experience includes working as a research technician at a local biotechnology company and a multinational pharmaceutical company. David finished among the top ten students in his law school graduating class. Before joining Oyen Wiggs Green & Mutala LLP, he served as a law clerk at the British Columbia Court of Appeal.

David speaks fluent Japanese.
