Pokémon™ Go Launches in Canada – Security Issue Fixed

To what is sure to be great fanfare among some Canadians, Pokémon™ Go launched this week in Canada. The immensely popular augmented reality game allows players to scour real world locations collecting virtual Pokémon™ creatures, and engage in competitions with other players. Initially dogged by security concerns because the game requested full read access to users’ Google accounts, the Canadian version of the game appears to request only the information required for the game to operate*.
