George Kondor was born and raised in Prince George. He is a partner in the firm and has been practising IP law with Oyen Wiggs since 1994. George studied at McGill University, the University of British Columbia, and at Hastings College of the Law, University of California. George has a wide-ranging patent and trademark practise and is particularly involved in:

• strategic counselling of clients about IP portfolio planning, development and management

• patent validity and infringement opinions and freedom-to-operate and design-around recommendations

• intellectual property competitive intelligence

• intellectual property-related aspects of sophisticated commercial transactions, including due diligence investigations and opinions

• technology transfer and licensing agreements

• preparation and prosecution of patent applications in Canada, the U.S. and elsewhere - primary recent technical areas of experience include biomedical devices, veterinary products, diagnostics, biomechanical and biomedical engineering and also forestry and wood materials handling and manufacturing processes.

George is an accomplished musician and in his spare time plays violin with the Westcoast Symphony. He also enjoys auto racing and is an avid wine fan.
